Rakarma Young is a veteran of over 24 professional Muy Thai fights and the founder of CMT Athletics , a professional Muy Thai gym established in 1998 and considered to be one of the top Muy Thai training facilities in Oakland, California and the greater Bay Area.

Ra’s gym is a true “old school” gym in a modern facility that remains true to traditional form Muay Thai. Since the founding of CMT Athletics, Ra has provided instruction in authentic Muay Thai, boxing, fitness conditioning, and fighter competition readiness. Rakarma Young was born in LA, grew up in Oakland, and his gym is a true cornerstone of California martial arts.

Like so many around the world, the COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating to his business, and we want to help preserve this amazing old school gym that Ra has spent the last 22 years of his life preserving.
