Support CMHS Cats in Memory of David Clifton Porter

David Clifton Porter, my father, passed away on November 19th, 2024. Dad loved animals but had a special place in his heart for cats.

For virtually his entire adult life, he had at least one cat around. He lived on his own when he got his first cats, Pokey and Misty and they both followed him into his marriage. After their deaths, we went to the Central Missouri Humane Society and adopted 2 cats we named Stormy and Dreamy. A year later, we adopted another cat named Daisy, also from CMHS. And a few years after that, my mom found a stray on the side of the road that she promptly brought home and named Buttercup. Dad loved all of his cats but took a particular liking to Buttercup; the two were practically inseparable and he was constantly taking photos of her and her antics.

In his honor and in lieu of flowers, we would like to raise funds to sponsor a Cat Condo at the Central Missouri Humane Society in his name for at least several years. This cat condo would provide for all basic necessities for any cat that resides in it for the duration of the sponsorship.
