Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Strangers,

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to support our dear friend, Clydene. As many of you know, Clydene has been courageously battling diabetes and is partially blind, as well as experiencing kidney failure and has been undergoing dialysis treatments for several years. In addition, she recently had surgery for stents in her heart. Her strength and resilience have been nothing short of inspiring.

Recently, Clydene faced another daunting challenge. She suffered a severe injury to her foot, which unfortunately led to a life-threatening infection. Despite the best efforts of her medical team, the infection has spread, and the difficult decision has been made to amputate her leg below the knee to save her life.

Clydene will undergo surgery the morning of Friday June 7th.

After her life saving surgery, Clydene's journey to recovery is far from over. She will need extensive medical care, physical therapy, and most importantly, a prosthetic leg to regain her mobility and independence. This process is not only emotionally taxing but also financially burdensome.

We are setting up this fundraiser to help alleviate the financial strain on Clydene and her family. Your generous donations will go directly towards:

- **Medical Expenses:** Covering the cost of co-payments for ER visits, surgery, hospital stays, and follow-up treatments.

- **Prosthetic Leg:** Ensuring Clydene has access to a high-quality prosthetic that will help her lead a full and active life.

- **Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy:** Providing the necessary therapy sessions to aid in her recovery and adaptation to the prosthetic and/or mobility aide.
