Help Cloud9 Robotics' First FTC Robotics Season!

Donation protected
Hello! We are the Cloud9 Robotics team, a 501 (c) nonprofit based in Brookline. As part of the FIRST Tech Challenge program, we’ve been working throughout the summer to prepare for our rookie season participating in FTC robotics competitions. We were generously gifted a set of old parts from a previous team, and we’ve been doing our best to work with what we have to build and program a robot to help win competitions this year. That being said, we need more supplies and parts to maximize our potential. Here's a calculated breakdown of what we would be using our funds for:

Registration and Membership
$295 - FTC Robotics Team Registration
$275 - Nonprofit Registration Fees
$500 - Funds to Reimburse Team Members for Brookline Teen Center Membership charges
$500 - Food, travel costs, etc.

Parts
$600 - GoBilda Starter Kit (Kit to Build a Starting Robot)
$330 - Two Viper Slides (Parts to Make an Elevator Shaft for the Robot)
$350 - Robotics Control Hub
$500 - Motors, servos, other miscellaneous parts
$300 - Utility tools for building
$200 - Bambu Lab A1 Mini (3D Printer)
$300 - 3D Printing Materials

In addition to competing in robotics competitions, we're looking forward to giving back to Brookline by working with local schools and students who may benefit from learning more in computer science and robotics. We believe that learning these fields shouldn't just begin as late as high school or college.

The main reason why we started this nonprofit organization was the envy that many BHS students feel with how computer science in this school is unoptimized, making it hard for people to learn beyond the standard AP classes and only being able to even take them after two or three years of prerequisites that would be condensed down efficiently in other schools nationally. There is much foundation for fields like medical, biology, political science, math, and English. Why can't a similar feat be achieved for computer science/robotics in Brookline and the Greater Boston Area? Besides the competitive scene, these funds would be used for website development, video production, and official branding, allowing anybody online to be able to access a curriculum for technology for free, anytime, anywhere on one simple platform.

Your support would be instrumental in allowing us to be true competitors and innovators in the FIRST community. It would go towards things like motors, gears, aluminum housing, 3D printing filament, RGB and distance sensors, screws, bolts, servos, and much more while also giving back to communities in the process. We would appreciate and value all the help we can get!
