While camp hosting in Ohio, I met someone who would quickly become a dear friend. Jessica is easily one of the coolest people I've ever been lucky enough to know. She's a fierce mother of three, an outdoor enthusiast, and an all-around good human. Not long after we met, Jessica's knowledge and passion for nature helped her land her dream job of being a Naturalist at another state park.

Unfortunately, Jessica had to leave that position to focus on her mental and physical well-being. What started as an ER visit turned into a year and a half of numerous doctor referrals, appointments, and testing, a rare cancer diagnosis (Neuroendocrine tumor of the GI tract), a POTS diagnosis, ongoing testing and surgical procedures, and a financial strain that is impossible to overcome on a single income alone.

My goal with this fund is to help support Jessica and her family to pay off medical bills that have already gone to collections, pay for current bills and future procedures, and ideally use any remaining funds to assist with groceries and other daily life necessities.
