Support Clint's Journey to Recovery

Hello, my name is Melanie Dowell, and I am raising money for my son, Clint, and his family.

Clint, Sam, and Ellie are trying to adjust to a new normal now that Clint is at home. His dad and I are raising money to help ease the cost of new equipment and medical costs that they now will need in order to make Clint comfortable.

He has a long road of recovery and more testing ahead to find out what is causing this extreme weakness in his body. Doctors were able to find that he has some type of autoimmune disease but have not been able to pinpoint which one. He is still very weak but was able to head home to continue to heal from the hospital after finally getting his CK numbers to drop after 5 days of not responding to previous treatments.

Due to this new disease, they will need to adjust things in their home to make things easier for him. We are hoping to raise funds to help with the cost of some of these. The biggest thing they need is a new lift chair to help him get in and out easier as their current couch is too low for him to use comfortably, as well as other changes throughout their house to help make his limited mobility easier on him, as there is no real answer on when or if his weakness will improve.

We truly appreciate the love and support they have already received. It has meant the world to them and eased their minds as they try to get answers. The tribe of people behind them sending prayers, love, and support has been amazing, and there are not enough words to thank them. Clint’s dad and I want to do this in order to help reduce some of the costs associated with these changes and support Clint’s journey ahead.
