On the evening of August 1st, Clint, Mendi, Makayla, Haley, and Derek faced a terrifying ordeal as the Old Trails Fire swept through their Spokane, WA neighborhood. With little time to spare, they gathered their dogs, important papers, their computer, and precious family photo albums before fleeing for their lives. In the midst of chaos, they also helped a neighbor girl who was home alone while her parents were out of town, showing incredible courage and compassion even as their own world was turned upside down.

Tragically, their home was burned to the ground, leaving them with nothing but the few belongings they managed to carry out. Clint, who served as a firefighter for 30 years and just recently retired, and Mendi are the type of people who always give rather than receive. Now, Clint, Mendi, Makayla, Haley, and Derek are in urgent need of support as they navigate the aftermath of this devastating loss. Funds raised will go directly toward temporary housing, replacing essentials, food, and clothing—helping them rebuild and regain stability during this difficult time.
