My name is Clifford James Johnson.

Saturday morning, I was cooking on my industrial smoker for an event sponsored by Take Heart Inc., where I am a restorative justice youth mentor. An incident arose during my preparation from the firebox, and I was severely burned on my right side. My hand and forearm, all the way to my elbow, have 2nd and 3rd degree burns. My face and ear suffered as well.

I am employed as a welder but do not have short or long-term disability. As many of you know, I have been the only one working in my family for over a year. I'm in a very bad situation right now. I will be off work for many weeks and am asking all of my friends and family members to help in any way possible. Everything will help. I thank you in advance. God bless.
