Clever was admitted to the hospital with multiple injuries after an unprovoked attack, and underwent emergency brain surgery on the day of his admission. He is now in the ICU receiving intensive care. His initial prognosis was very poor due to severe brain damage. He also has facial bone fractures and a ruptured left eye, but these injuries cannot be prioritized because of his critical neurological condition. Should he survive, he will have a long recovery, involving extensive rehabilitation, follow-up surgeries, and ongoing medical care to restore his quality of life.
Police continue to investigate this heinous incident, but they have been clear that Clever has zero fault in his battery. Please be considerate by not asking prying questions in light of ongoing police investigations and the family’s grief.
Ann Sim: “If you were lucky enough to know him, no introduction would be necessary. His life, his passions, and his compassion for all people are evident in the way he lived. To Ann Sim and Farshanda Sim, Clever is a giving tree, stable yet bending with love for his baby sisters. To Tamer Sim, the day of Clever’s birth was the proudest day our dad ever knew. To Joo-“Bae,” he is the love of - and hopefully for - a lifetime. We, and so so so many more, are praying for his full recovery. Please help us fight for him.”
Angel Jung & Annie Phan: “On May 26 Clever Sim was brutally attacked and left to die. He is fighting for his life in the ICU and even though doctors say it doesn’t look good he’s hanging on. Everyone that knows Clever knows how loyal, real and strong he is. It’s a miracle he’s alive and we are praying for a complete recovery. He always takes care of the ones around him and would give his life for the ones he loves, let’s take care of him and his family now. His younger sisters and girlfriend are at his side day in and day out…and the medical bills and all other financial burdens have begun to stack up and will continue to. We have friends praying around the world for him but now we’re asking to help give his family some financial help. If you are unable to donate please send your prayers and thank you so much.”
