Hello all, I’m here to try and raise money to help pay for Cleo’s clinical journey. Unfortunately, Cleo’s bloodwork came back with horrible results. Cleo is currently diagnosed with liver disease; she has had an X-ray that’s shown her liver is overly enlarged. Her liver is showing itself to be three times larger than what it’s supposed to be. Next step is to outsource to a different vet to get an ultrasound done and figure out what to do next. So far, she has been put on liver medication until the ultrasound. None of us know what’s next, but we do know we want to keep Cleo out of pain and are willing to do anything to do so. Cleo just turned nine in December and fought off heartworms. She’s my everything. Three vet visits in and we’ve already surpassed $1,000. At this point, anything helps and I’ll make sure to keep everyone updated.

UPDATE AFTER ULTRASOUND:

Cleo’s ultrasound came back with unexpected results. It’s not her liver enlarged but a mass on her spleen. Vet has recommended that we go ahead and take her in to have her spleen removed. They believe it can may be cancerous and that’s the reasoning for her elevated bloodwork. They also said it could be a hematoma but either way best route next is to get her into surgery and remove her spleen.
