Hi everyone,
My name is Alexis, and I’m reaching out to share the story of a very special cat named Cleo.
Cleo was abandoned by the previous tenants of my home over two years ago. Since then, I’ve been her primary caretaker, providing her with food, safety, and love in our yard. Sadly, Cleo has had several litters of kittens over the years, none of whom survived despite our best efforts.
In early March, Cleo gave birth to four kittens. After losing two, we were determined to find a safe home for the remaining two survivors. Unfortunately, a temporary fostering situation didn't go as planned; when we realized Cleo was in extreme distress being separated from them so early, the foster was unwilling to reunite them.
Seeing Cleo’s heartbreak was devastating, but it led us to a wonderful solution. We connected with a highly experienced foster who offered to take Cleo in so she could be safely indoors. In a beautiful turn of events, Cleo has now "adopted" two orphaned, dumped kittens. She is caring for them as her own, providing the motherly bond she so desperately needed. Once these kittens are old enough to be independent, we have two primary goals for Cleo’s health:
1. Spaying: To ensure she never has to endure the cycle of pregnancy and loss again.
2. Dental Care: Cleo has recently shown signs of dental distress, including drooling and an inability to eat hard food. She likely requires extractions or professional dental work to live pain-free.
As a full-time student working part-time, I am doing everything I can, but I cannot fund her entire medical care alone. 100% of the funds raised will go directly to Cleo’s veterinary expenses.
Even a donation of $1 makes a difference. If you aren't able to donate, please consider sharing Cleo's story.
Thank you for your time, your empathy, and for helping me give Cleo the healthy, peaceful life she deserves.
