Many of you are already familiar with Julián’s story and the long medical journey he has faced. Today, once again, we ask for your kindness and support.

Julián was urgently hospitalized after developing an intestinal viral infection that caused severe dehydration, serious metabolic acidosis, and kidney involvement, making it necessary for him to be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. Due to his preexisting medical condition, his situation is especially delicate and complex.

It is unclear how he became infected. Like any baby his age, Julián naturally puts objects in his mouth—something impossible to avoid—but because he is more vulnerable, the infection affected him much more severely.

To ensure his safety and continuity of care, we made the decision to transfer him to a private clinic, where the same specialists who know his full medical history can continue his treatment. It is crucial that he remains under the care of the medical team he trusts. At this time, Julián is receiving specialized intensive care.
