Many of the students who attend the Islamic School come from impoverished families, many of whom are orphans, without a father. Many of these families are unable to pay school fees. Education is their ticket to a brighter future InshaAllah, especially in a country where the literacy rate stands at 57.7%. Let's improve this rate together!!!

Children in The Gambia have long struggled to access a quality education. In fact, in 2018 only 14% of children in the small country’s West Coast Region ages 7-14 (14% boys, 14% girls) demonstrated literacy skills, while only 12% (8% boys, 16% girls) demonstrated numeracy skills.

Students Abdoulah Bun Saud Al-Askari Islamic School learn all basic core academics, Islamic studies, Arabic and Quran.
