On Saturday, July 26, 2025, at approximately 11:23 p.m., Clay Hargrave, age 55, of White Plains, Maryland, was tragically shot on the 2700 block of Martin Luther King Jr Avenue SE in Southeast Washington, D.C. Despite efforts by DC Fire & EMS, Clay was pronounced deceased at the scene.
