Hi my name is Clay Cauley I go to Howard University and I’m a Senior film and tv major, environmental science minor from Philadelphia, Pa.

I’m raising funds to bring my documentary-style film to life, a sharp, comedic, and thought-provoking exploration of the Black male experience in America.

The film blends humor with cultural commentary, following a narrator who hijacks his friend’s “serious” documentary to challenge the expectation that Black creators must always focus solely on the Black experience. Through interviews, monologues, and absurd setups, the story highlights contradictions, questions stereotypes, and opens space for reflection on themes like money, strength, companionship, and freedom.

This isn’t about fitting anyone into a box. It’s about showcasing the full, unpredictable personalities of the men on screen. By embracing spontaneity, humor, and thoughtful reflection, the film captures moments that are genuine, entertaining, and surprising. At its core, it’s comedy, it’s chaos, but it’s also truth — told in a way that’s fresh, engaging, and unforgettable.
