Support Claven's Surgical Fund
Donation protected
The purpose of this gofundme campaign is to raise money to support Claven and his family while he undergoes an extensive and expensive surgical procedure to complete his transition. His surgery is scheduled for November and we are so thrilled (and a little nervous) about this incredible opportunity for Claven. Needless to say, we never thought this long-awaited opportunity would present itself.
The surgery on its own is very expensive but because of Claven's particular health situation with his Takayasu's Arteritis it is an even more delicate procedure than it usually is. This surgery must be done in two parts. Both surgeries will require AT LEAST a one month stay in Portland, OR so that he will be local to the surgeon and the medical team at OHSU.
This fund is to raise money to help pay for his and his recovery partner's stay in Portland, their travel expenses, and to help Emily make ends meet at home with the children while Claven is gone. Her income will be impacted as she will have to change her work hours in order to be a solo-parent for the duration of Claven's stay in Portland.
We are profoundly grateful for any support our community can give. This is an exciting and scary undertaking for our family and we are comforted by the fact that our community has always been there for us. Thank you for reading and thinking about our family. If you find you are unable to donate please take a couple seconds to share this page on social media so that it can get a signal boost.
Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.
