Help Keep Tiny Trims Going — A Safe Space for Every Child
Hi, I’m Claudia Delgado Aguero, the proud owner of Tiny Trims, Omaha’s first sensory-friendly children’s haircut studio.
Tiny Trims was built from love — love for children who struggle in loud, overwhelming spaces, love for families who just want a calm and patient experience, and love for a dream I refused to let die… even when everything around me told me to quit.

The Struggles Behind the Smiles
This journey has been far from easy.
When I first started Tiny Trims, I rented a small salon suite, full of hope and excitement — but it didn’t take long before I realized the space wasn’t truly welcoming to the kind of clients I serve. I cater to children with sensory sensitivities, autism, and Down syndrome, and not everyone understands what that means.
Instead of being supported, I often felt like I was walking on eggshells — constantly worrying that a child’s cries, movements, or stimming would bother the people around me. I only lasted six weeks in my first space before I was forced to move.
I tried again, pouring everything I had into a new suite, hoping this time would be different. I lasted five months before realizing that the same thing was happening all over again. I wasn’t being pushed out because of my work — I was being pushed out because of the children I love serving.
Each move broke my heart and drained my savings, but I couldn’t give up. I knew these kids needed someone who truly saw them — someone who understood that their needs weren’t “too much.”

❤️ Finding My Place at Last
After two painful moves, my sister decided to take a leap of faith and open a new space — Sensory Suite Spot.
Finally, Tiny Trims had a home designed for the very children I built it for.
It’s bright, calm, and filled with love — a place where no one has to apologize for being themselves. But getting here came with sacrifice. I started over twice. I bought equipment again. I rebuilt my clientele. I stayed up nights praying I was doing the right thing.
Every smile, every parent’s tear of gratitude, and every child who now sits calmly through a haircut — it reminds me why I kept going.

A Moment I’ll Never Forget
This year, I was honored to receive the Autism Action Partnership “Help is Hope” Award — a recognition that brought me to tears.
That award wasn’t just for me — it was for every child who overcame fear, every parent who finally found a space that felt safe, and for every person who believed in what Tiny Trims stands for.
Because if it wasn’t for everything Tiny Trims had to go through — the moves, the tears, the uncertainty — none of this would exist today.

How You Can Help
Tiny Trims is still growing, but I can’t do it alone.
Running a sensory-friendly studio takes extra tools, patience, and financial support. Every donation helps keep this space open for the children who need it most.
Your donation will go toward:
Free and sponsored haircuts for families in need
Sensory tools and equipment (cube chairs, weighted plushes, calming fidgets)

From My Heart to Yours
Tiny Trims isn’t just a salon.
It’s a place of hope, healing, and inclusion — a space that was built through love, loss, and relentless faith.
If you’ve ever seen a child smile after a haircut they once feared, or a parent finally relax knowing their child is understood, you know why this matters.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in me, in these kids, and in Tiny Trims.
Your support means more than words could ever say.
With all my love,
Claudia Delgado Aguero
