Help Claudia & Greg Rebuild After the Eaton Fire and Fight Glioblastoma
Dear Friends and Community,
My name is Natalia, and I am reaching out to you on behalf of my dear friends, Claudia, Greg, and their daughter Lia during an unbelievably challenging time.
In January 2025, Claudia and Greg were displaced by the devastating Eaton Fire in Altadena. Their home was left contaminated and unsafe, and they have now been living in temporary housing for over a year while navigating exhausting insurance delays — all while trying to create stability for their soon to be 8-year-old daughter.
Just as they were working to rebuild their lives, they were dealt another heartbreaking blow.
Greg was recently diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive and fast-growing form of brain cancer. On February 3rd, he underwent emergency brain surgery at UC Irvine and will begin intensive radiation and chemotherapy in March. The road ahead will be physically, emotionally, and financially overwhelming.
Greg is currently unable to work and requires 24/7 care. As freelancers in the entertainment industry, Claudia and Greg rely entirely on active projects for income. Right now, that income has stopped. Medical bills have already begun arriving, and the costs of treatment, recovery, and daily living continue to grow.
Claudia is now Greg’s primary caregiver while managing medical appointments, insurance battles, and the needs of their young daughter — all while trying to hold their family together through unimaginable uncertainty.
We are raising $60,000 to help cover:
• Medical bills, treatment, and supportive care
• Lost income during Greg’s treatment and Claudia becoming Greg’s primary caregiver
• Temporary housing and living expenses while displaced
• Replacing essential belongings and work equipment lost in the fire
• Creating stability and security for Lia during this critical time
Greg is a devoted husband and a loving father — the kind of neighbor who stayed behind during the fire to help others. Claudia and Greg have always shown up for their community. Now it’s our turn to show up for them.
Any donation, no matter the size, will help ease their burden and allow them to focus on what matters most: time together, treatment, and hope. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this campaign.
Thank you for your love, kindness, and support during this unimaginable time.
