Hello, my name is Claudia Zapiain, and I am a single mother to four daughters and a son. Four of my children are young adults, but my youngest is my daughter of 11 years old. All my life I have worked hard to support my children. I have always been an independent hard-working woman trying to find ways to better myself and give my children a better future. Yet at the start of the year, I was diagnosed with breast cancer that came as a complete shock and changed the trajectory of my life. It’s been a hard battle both physically and emotionally. Having always been the pillar of my family I have found myself having to let go of my job the vital source of income to pay my bills. Currently I have no work, and the bills keep on piling up. Amidst endless medical appointment I simultaneously found myself seeking resources to help keep me afloat during my cancer journey, but the overdue bills keep on rolling in.

My cancer diagnostic really come to shake up my life, and despite the challenges it has more than ever showed me how strong of a women and mother I can and have always been. It’s a daily battle, but my cancer diagnostic is a battle that I am going to go ahead win to add to my wall of medallions.

Any generous proceeds will be used to cover current living expenses for me and my daughter while I go through my cancer treatment.
