My name is Suzie Pont, and I am a friend and colleague of Witek, Claudia's beloved father.

On 26 May, Witek passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home following heart failure. His passing has left an unimaginable void in the life of his only child, Claudia, who is just 17 years old.

In the most heartbreaking of circumstances, Claudia was the first person there when her father needed help. It is an experience no young person should ever have to endure, and one that has changed her life forever.

With the loss of her father, Claudia now finds herself facing challenges that no teenager should have to navigate alone. She has no immediate family in Australia, no siblings, and is now trying to cope with overwhelming grief while also managing funeral arrangements, legal and estate matters, new living arrangements, and the demands of completing Year 12.

At a time when she should be focused on finishing school, spending time with friends, planning for university, and looking forward to her future, Claudia is instead carrying responsibilities far beyond her years.

This fundraiser has been established to help ease the immediate and ongoing financial pressures she now faces. Funds raised will assist with:
