I am living with moderate to severe chronic pain throughout my body, caused by Degenerative Disc Disease, spinal stenosis, and fibromyalgia. Over the past several years, I have undergone multiple surgeries on my neck and back—two on my neck and three on my back between 2019 and 2024. My most recent surgery was in September 2024 on my lower back. After recovering, I returned to work in May 2025, but the long commute and physically demanding job caused my pain to worsen. I had to miss work frequently, and unfortunately, I was not allowed to work from home anymore.

On January 9, 2026, I lost my job. I applied for unemployment, but I have not been able to get it yet and am currently in the appeal process. Since January, I have been without any income. I was set to start a new job in March, but after MRI results showed my L5 disc is compressing a nerve, my start date was pushed back. I am now scheduled for surgery in April and am dealing with other serious medical concerns as well.
