Hello my name is Clarissa Perez. I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer on January 17, 2024. We were hopeful that it would be treated quickly and on April 12 I had my first treatment of chemotherapy at MD Anderson Houston. My family and I had been traveling from Weslaco, TX to Houston TX every week for my treatments. We recently found out the chemotherapy was not working as we hoped. On June 14 I started my first treatment on a more aggressive chemo plan. I'm currently scheduled for surgery on September 11 for a mastectomy and reconstruction. Radiation may follow after. Any donation would be greatly appreciated to cover our out of pocket medical costs and travel to the facility.
