Help Me Heal, and Rebuild My Health

Over the past five years, my life has changed in ways I never imagined. In 2020 I began experiencing frightening symptoms — memory loss, debilitating pain, joint problems, difficulty walking, esophageal dysfunction, and difficulty swallowing or digesting food. In 2022 I was diagnosed with limited systemic sclerosis, followed by multiple other diagnoses including POTS, autoimmune urticaria, UCTD, hEDS, chronic migraine, and Raynaud’s syndrome, MCAS, inflammatory arthritis. The list goes on.

I’ve done everything I can to keep working, singing, and staying involved in my community, but my health has declined to the point that I’ve been forced to stop working. The physical, emotional, and financial toll has been overwhelming.

After a year of worsening and painful urogynecological symptoms, countless rounds of antibiotics and many medical appts, recent scans revealed multiple masses on my ovaries and in my uterus. My doctors have advised a medically necessary total hysterectomy, removal of my left ovary, and excision of any affected tissue, with biopsies and continued treatment to follow. Endometriosis is also strongly suspected.

Even with insurance, my estimated out-of-pocket surgical cost is $12,000–$14,000, on top of over $10,000 each year in ongoing medical expenses. We’re still paying off the many scans, procedure costs and imaging appts from 2025 and will be for a while.

I’m asking for help from my community so I can move forward with the surgery I desperately need and begin reclaiming some quality of life. Every donation will go directly toward medical care and recovery.
