Life has a way of changing in an instant. Recently, I was unexpectedly laid off from my job, creating uncertainty for our family as we navigate this sudden loss of income. While we are actively working toward our next chapter, this transition has come at a particularly difficult moment.
This moment happens to be a year of great opportunity for my youngest daughter, Claire.
Claire has earned acceptance into a prestigious five-week summer program in New York City — the School of American Ballet (SAB) - an extraordinary opportunity that recognizes her talent, discipline, and dedication. This program will allow her to grow academically and personally, connect with peers from across the country, and gain exposure that could shape her future in meaningful ways.
The total cost of tuition, housing, and travel is $13,500. Before my layoff, we had committed to making this happen because we believe deeply in investing in our children’s dreams. Now, with our financial situation suddenly uncertain, we are doing everything we can to honor that commitment without placing our family in hardship.
In addition, she was recently invited to YAGP finals. While I have secured travel expenses, I had hesitated on registering her. We have a few days to make that decision. The total cost for that event is approximately $3100.
We are humbly asking for support to help cover the cost of this life-changing opportunity. Any contribution — large or small — will go directly toward tuition, housing, and travel expenses. If you are unable to give financially, sharing this page would mean just as much.
We believe in resilience, hard work, and community. Thank you for considering helping our daughter continue pursuing her dreams during this challenging season for our family.
With gratitude,
Desiree, Ron, and Claire Fleming
