My name is Dave, and I’m fundraising alongside Claire’s sister, Emma, who is kindly started the fundraising for our family.

Eighteen months ago, our lives changed forever when my wife, Claire, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Since then, she has faced every challenge with incredible courage and determination, but the journey has been unimaginably difficult for all of us—especially for Claire and our three woderful children.

Claire grew up in London before following her passion for teaching. She now teaches in Dubai, where she continues to inspire and support young people every day. To so many people she is a teacher, colleague, daughter, sister, and friend—but to us, she is the heart of our family.

Over the past 18 months, Claire has undergone 13 hours of surgey, multiple rounds of chemotherapy, and radiation treatment. While she continues to fight with everything she has, we are now looking towards alternative treatment in Mexico to support her convnetional treatment, which offers hope at a time when our options have become more limited.

The cost of this treatment and the support surrounding it is overwhelming. We are hoping to raise £60,000 to help cover:

• Specialist treatment in Mexico

• Travel and accommodation costs

• Ongoing care and recovery support

• Support for our children during this difficult time

As a family, we are doing everything we can to give Claire the best possible chance to keep fighting.
