Support CJ’s Dad’s Ongoing Stroke Recovery

Aloha, everyone.
My name is Clayton (but my family and childhood friends call me CJ).

As most of you know, my dad had a severe stroke in mid-April of last year where he only had a 1% chance of survival. God is good because, with Him and prayers from a lot of you, he is still with us today.

Since then, dad is doing great for the most part. However, there are tons of post-stroke symptoms that he deals with on an everyday basis, including short-term memory loss, balance issues, sleep problems, he’s fallen once since, has been emotional since, etc.

My stepmom has done a great job taking care of dad pretty much 24/7. She works a ton (2 jobs but currently is only working one to focus more on caring for dad) and rarely gets rest because her number one priority is dad’s health. I try and do what I can to help out by going over twice a week and helping her with dad and try to relieve some of the workload.

As I’ve said above, dad has done great in the recovery because he’s still alive and well despite post-stroke symptoms. However, he and my stepmom only got so much help financially with the ton of medical bills and such that has arisen since dad’s miracle recovery. The reason in which I created this was so that dad (and my stepmom) have a little less stress worrying about finances and to be able to sleep at night a little easier.

This was the last thing I wanted to do and make a fundraiser but thought I’d reach out and see what happens. If and only if you’re able to donate, we would appreciate any donation (a little goes a long way). If not, if you can please continue to pray for dad’s continual health and full recovery with his balance getting better, the strength and use of his legs to be able to walk on his own again (maybe even possibly driving and tending to his plants like he used to (he misses doing so), and his short-term memory that it could possibly heal.

Thank you so much if you were able to read this far into this.
