Support CityGirl's Battle with Arachnoiditis

Donation protected
On May 15th my Wife who is known to many as CityGirl/City woke up to find that she was completely numb from her waist down with very little mobility in her legs. She under went MRI imaging and was then transferred to Mobile Infirmary for further evaluation. At Mobile Infirmary she had multiple tests which included more MRI imaging and a Lumbar Puncture. They came to the conclusion that she had Transverse Myelitis. She under went plasma treatments through dialysis. She spent 13 days in that hospital. After 5 rounds of Plasma she was then released stating there was nothing more they could do and that she would improve at home with in home PT & OT visits. We were home for 6 days and she declined drastically to the point that she wasn't able to stand on her own very well and she had no control over her legs. After many suggestions we chose to go to UAB in Birmingham to seek further treatment. The team of Dr's at UAB were amazing at ordering ALL of the tests to make a determination of which procedure would be the best. She was diagnosed with Spinal Cord Tethering and Arachnoiditis. This diagnosis was not good. The Neurology Team came up with the best solution that would help reduce the spinal fluid collection within her spinal cord. The Neurosurgeon placed a shunt in the top front of her brain the drainage tube runs down the side of her neck and down to her stomach where the excess spinal fluid will disperse into her stomach region. She received 30 staples in her shaved head and two incisions in her stomach. She spent 15 days in Birmingham at UAB. Once discharged on June 18th she was ordered in home PT & OT. Since being released she has once again declined. So we have come back to UAB in Birmingham on June 21st and are currently waiting in the ER as the Neurology Team goes over the CT and XRays they did on her when we arrived. All of this was because of a botched Lumbar Surgery that was preformed on her on February 22nd. This was an unnecessary surgery that has ruined her life. There is absolutely no cure for Arachnoiditis. City's life has been turned upside down. I myself have missed soooo much work. My pay rate at work was cut more than in half. Because I have not been able to work much. The traveling back in forth between her 1st hospital stay to her hospital stay at UAB and now we are back again at UAB has been very costly. I have been asked by multiple family members to make this GoFundMe to help us out financially as we battle what City is/has been going through since May 15th. The outpouring of prayers has been phenomenal and we have appreciated each and everyone that has prayed and sent love to our girl City. I will make an update regarding our current visit here at UAB once the Team has decided what is next for her at this point.
