Support City Life Raptors' 12u Journey to Nationals

We are raising money to help the City Life Raptors Youth Organization's 12u team as they prepare to travel to the prestigious United National Tournament for the UYFL Championships, taking place at Ellis-Methvin Park in Plant City, Florida, from December 7-14. As a nonprofit organization based in Suburban Washington DC, Prince George's County, Maryland, our mission is to foster the growth and development of our young athletes. We focus on enhancing their techniques, both on and off the field, and emphasize the importance of success in academics, sports, and personal life. Through a nurturing yet competitive environment, we aim to motivate our student-athletes to reach their full potential.

Our 12u team, comprised of 25 dedicated twelve-year-old boys, showcased remarkable resilience and determination after a challenging loss last Saturday in the PG County MD Boys and Girls Club 12u Championship game. Their unwavering desire and courage to compete at a national level is truly inspiring. We are thrilled to accept the invitation to rise to this new challenge. Throughout the season, these student-athletes have demonstrated exceptional commitment and hard work, proudly representing the DMV area around the Capitol Beltway. Despite entering the Championship game as underdogs, ranked #2 in the 12u division against an undefeated neighboring team, their spirit remains unbroken. Now, they are more determined than ever to excel on a national stage.

The UYFL Championships' United National Tournament is set for Ellis-Methvin Park in Plant City, Florida, from December 7-14. Travel arrangements for a youth team over this distance are both logistically and financially demanding. The cost for each player is estimated between $525.00, which includes airfare, a 9-night stay in a hotel or Airbnb, food, and event transportation. Our goal is $12,500.

This is a unique chance that many young football players nationwide dream of achieving annually. Our aim is to inspire these young athletes by demonstrating that their goals are within reach through perseverance and commitment. Our league comprises individuals from diverse economic backgrounds, including many from single-parent homes.
