Hello, my name is Cinthia Villagran and I recently received my BM in vocal performance at UCI. I have been given the opportunity to study abroad in Salzburg, Austria in a three month intensive a vocal program called “Passaggio.” This illustrious program, led by renowned soprano Barbara Bonney and Victoria Browers, focuses on sharpening the technical and artistic skills of classical vocalists. As students in this program, we benefit from exposure to Austrian culture, German language study, masterclasses and private sessions with Barbara Bonney, and collaborating with skilled accompanists.

Getting to study under artists like Barbara Bonney, who have had such profound impact the classical world, is the opportunity of a lifetime. Not only will this intensive program refine my performance skills, but it will allow me to acquire the necessary skills to succeed in the world of classical singing. It is a stepping stone in my journey of my profesional career, and one I hope to see through.

As such, this program is quite financially demanding. Aside from the $7k tuition, students are responsible for covering housing and any other required expenses. Anything given will strictly go towards covering these things. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated!
