We are looking to raise some funds for two very special girls, Cinnamon and Candy. ❤️ This is going to be a long one, but these girls both need medical care and the costs are quickly adding up.
Cinnamon was found abandoned, scared, and never reclaimed. She had clearly been used for breeding at some point. Once rescued, she let her guard down immediately and earned the name ‘Cinnamon Roll’. At her initial vet visit, she sadly tested positive for heartworm disease. Heartworm treatment is lengthy and expensive. It includes antibiotics, exercise restriction, injections, and more. For a big girl like Cinnamon, the treatment alone is about $1,000. She will also need to be spayed.
All too similarly, Candy was found abandoned, scared, and never reclaimed. Candy was in rough shape. Her skin and eyes were horrific. She was too weak to stand or walk for long periods and could hardly hold herself up to go to the bathroom. She had a mass on her toe in addition to a mammary mass. Again, similar to Cinnamon, she had clearly been used for breeding. After numerous vet visits, antibiotics, supplements, bloodwork, and more, Candy has gotten so much stronger and healthier. Although the plan was to get her even stronger before surgery, a suspected pyometra accelerated the timeline and she had surgery yesterday. Both masses were removed and will be biopsied and she was spayed. Yesterday’s surgery alone was $2,700. She had x-rays and ultrasounds done prior to surgery. Between the cost of biopsies and the cost of her previous vet visits, we are looking at an additional $1,500.
We are looking to raise money that we can put toward both of these vet bills. ❤️ Big expenses like this deplete our funds fast and there are always more animals in need right around the corner. ❤️
If you got this far, thank you SO much and we are so appreciative for any support right now. ❤️
