Hi, my name is Cindy and this is my story about why I posted for help.
On September 27, 2024, there was a hurricane in my area, Hurricane Helene.
I was working for a hotel that took in people who lost their homes due to the flooding and damage caused by the hurricane.
Several days later, my husband at the time decided he no longer wanted to live in North Carolina.
I had two jobs at the time and was barely making enough to cover personal monthly bills. He decided to leave anyway. This left me alone in North Carolina, with no home. The rent, plus utilities and other bills, were left to me to pay. Needless to say, I couldn't, so yeah, I was evicted from the rental unit. I have been trying to find something that I could afford while being homeless and trying to work as many hours as possible, sometimes up to sixty hours a week.
I am currently paying for my vehicle insurance, car payment, medical bills, and have started using a debt consolidation program to pay off the remainder of my bills.
Recently, I was offered the use of a plot of land that has full hookups for an RV. The problem comes in with me not being able to finance an RV. I have been using my entire paycheck for bills and am unable to save a down payment. I've been looking at used RVs in the newspaper and asking around. I finally found one that someone will sell me that is in great shape and I would be able to live in for several years to come as I pay off my bills and get my finances in order.
The total asking price is $6,000 firm, and that will give me a home.
So please, I really need help to obtain this RV, so I can finally stop living out of my car and have a place to call my own.
Thank you so much for reading this plea for help, and anything you can donate would be very appreciated.
