Support Cindy Pawford's Journey to A Healthy Furever

Donation protected
Meet Cindy Pawford. Sweet Cindy was living in backyards in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood with her 8 kittens when a kind neighbor took in one of her seriously ill kittens and realized Cindy and her other babies needed help too!

We trapped Cindy and the other 7 kittens around 4th of July and luckily got kittens into foster. Our village helped Cindy get spayed and into a foster home that weekend, while we try to get her intake with rescue. But unfortunately, 10 days ago her foster noticed bleeding from her tail and a vet exam showed a mystery gash to the tip.

She came to foster with me, and unfortunately this week, as the vet feared, the tail did need to be partially amputated.

We've been more than happy to pay for food, litter, other vetting and follow-up care, but the amputation was $2800, and as you can imagine, this was not in this month's budget! But Cindy deserves a shot at a great, healthy life.
Any amount helps.

Some things to know about Cindy:
  • She is VERY gentle, and loves headbutts and chest rubs.
  • She has black eyebrows on one side of her face, and white eyebrows on the other.
  • She has the TINIEST meow I've ever heard from an adult cat. It's almost silent.
  • She loves people, but toys are scary so far.
  • She was a really good, calm mama who clearly took great care of her many babies.
Thanks for helping us help Cindy and cats like her.
