Support Cindy's Heart Surgery and Recovery

This is Ashley and Marissa, Cindy’s daughters. On September 2nd Mom unexpectedly fainted. There was facial trauma which took them to the emergency room. As an unwitnessed fall, they ran a series of additional tests. Mom ended up in ICU and CCU. A week later she was moved to a regular in patient room but her journey is far from over. Several days after initial admission she needed a pacemaker implanted. Her next step is heart surgery to repair an aortic aneurysm and dissection. This requires a transfer to another hospital. Then cardiac rehab. Then oral surgery.

Mom will require weeks of supportive care and surgeries that may not be 100 % covered by their Medicare plan. Dad has been by her side the whole time advocating for her care. As business owners this creates a difficult financial strain. Pausing their sole source of income to focus on Mom’s health has been a challenge, but necessary.

We want to focus our energy on my Mom’s (and Dad’s) health. Any support is appreciated to aid in medical bills, high cost blood pressure medications, rehab facility, and other unplanned expenses.

I know for most of you reading this, the entire situation is a surprise and was kept quiet by us. Mom never asks for help and getting to this point took some convincing.

It is hard for her to respond to messages right now. Marissa and I can provide updates and pass along well wishes.
