Hello, my name is Ross Deverts, and I am the son of Cindy Deverts-Dorado. My sister Candice and I are facing the unimaginable loss of our mother, who passed away unexpectedly in October. During this difficult time, we are doing our best to navigate the overwhelming grief and honor her memory.

As we try to find peace and celebrate her life, we’ve been faced with additional challenges, such as clearing out her home and making arrangements for her cremation. Our goal is to give her a farewell that truly reflects the love, strength, and kindness she showed throughout her life.

Growing up, my mom and I went through many struggles, including periods of homelessness. I saw her at her lowest points, as well as her brightest moments. Through it all, she never lost her hope, resilience, or compassion. These are the qualities she instilled in me, and they are what I hold onto as I remember her. My mom loved the Lord and her church deeply, and I take comfort in knowing she is now at peace, dancing in Heaven.

Any contribution—no matter how small—will go directly toward the costs of her cremation and help us honor her in a way that brings peace to our family. We are so grateful for the support during this incredibly difficult time.
