Support Cindy Wilkerson and her Sons
Donation protected
On Saturday, March 22, 2025, Cindy's blood pressure dropped, and she became unresponsive. An ambulance transported her to the hospital, where, upon arrival, she went into cardiac arrest. She was admitted, sedated, and intubated. Medications were given to stabilize her. It was determined she had an infected gallbladder and had gone into septic shock. She was transported to UT Hospital, where surgeons put tubes in to drain out the infection. Surgery was not suggested because the doctors did not believe she would make it through the surgery. Her condition was critical and on life support. The family was asked to make difficult decisions, and hope was slim.
After a few days, another CT scan and an EEG were performed. There was brain activity, but there was swelling on her brain, and she was unable to breathe on her own. Slowly, she was weaned off the oxygen and medications.
On March 27th, God answered our prayers. Cindy woke up, life support was removed, and she could whisper. Each day, she became more coherent, speaking, eating, and gaining strength.
On April 1st, she was released from the hospital but not without medical needs. She continues to have a drain for the infection in her gallbladder. She is unable to climb the stairs in her home. She can stand for short periods but has to take breaks. She requires assistance for daily activities.
As you can imagine, this has caused a great deal of medical debt, lost wages, and late bills. If you can assist the Wilkerson family, it would be a great blessing to them.
Thank you!
