Support Cindy Walsh and her Late-Stage ALS Care

Hello friends and neighbors!

We are asking for financial donations on behalf of Cindy and Justin Walsh, owners of Norm's Place in Danville, CA, who have been dedicated and active members of our community for many years. Anyone who knows Cindy, Justin, their daughter Ryan, and their son Rocky, knows what a terrific family they are. They have touched countless lives through their innumerable donations of food and support for community events and their commitment to providing great food and a great atmosphere for gatherings in their restaurant. Now, they need our help.

Cindy was diagnosed in 2019 with the devastating disease, ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis ), and we are sorry to share that it has progressed to its final stages. Cindy has fought a valiant fight against ALS. Despite the physical limitations that have come with this debilitating disease, she continues to smile and have a positive attitude. She was a willing participant in many clinical trials, hoping to help find a cure to save the lives of future ALS patients. She has continued to be an amazing mother to Ryan and Rocky, a supportive wife to Justin, and a fantastic friend to those of us who are lucky enough to spend time with her.

As Cindy's condition progresses, the costs of her care have become a significant burden on the Walsh family. Medical bills, equipment, and specialized care are overwhelmingly expensive, and this is where we, as a community, can make a meaningful difference. Your contribution will enable them to focus on what truly matters – spending precious time together and cherishing the moments they have left.

We are asking our friends, neighbors, and members of our community to provide much-needed financial support for Cindy's care. We are hoping specifically to cover the lease cost of a transport van which will accommodate her wheelchair, and funds to assist with the astronomical costs of the 24-hour care she now needs.
