Support Cindy: NC Sister and Survivor

Have you ever met someone and felt an instant connection? That’s how I felt when I met Cindy. She and I work for the same company and met earlier this year. I use the word “met” loosely because we work remotely - I’m in Texas and Cindy is in North Carolina - so we haven’t exactly shared a handshake or a hug. Despite the distance, we’ve come to refer to one another as sisters. So let me tell you, when hurricane Helene destroyed Cindy’s tiny NC town, I was devastated for her. Which brings us here.

My “pie in the sky” goal is to raise enough to help Cindy and her service dog, Bodhi, move out of Piney Creek. There are various ways to do this, of course. My thought is to try to help her be truly independent and mobile - literally - with a small RV or something of the sort. I know, big goal, big ask.

I won’t go into all of Cindy’s personal details, but I do want to impress upon you the importance of getting Cindy to a safer, healthier, more stable place. If you can contribute any amount, we’ll take it!
