As some of you may already know, my mom Cindy Moulton had a huge scare on August 13th. She was found outside at work on the ground, mostly unconscious, unable to talk. After ambulance was called they made their way to Machias ER, who were able to confirm she was having a seizure - that happened a couple of times. They were able to control/stop this thankfully after medications. She then had many scans and tests done, where they found a large mass on her brain which was causing pressure and believed to have caused the seizures. They also found a couple other small spots on her lungs and spleen. She was told she would need brain surgery to have the mass removed, which meant traveling out of Washington County where they have specialists for these kind of things. We waited 2 nights in Machias before they had an open bed in Bangor at EMMC for her. After more testing there, they got her in for brain surgery within days to remove the tumor - which was the scariest thing for all of us to deal with. Thankfully the surgery went well and she has been home healing and recovering since the end of August. We are more than thankful that she is back home and doing okay They did diagnose her with Lung Cancer. She is now unable to work and has many upcoming appointments at Brewer Cancer Care for radiation and possibly chemo. Besides regular bills, rent etc, and many trips back and forth to Bangor/Brewer it's getting expensive and hard to manage. We don't want her stressed out or worried about financial issues during this time. Anyone that knows our Mom knows she would do anything to help others, so I'm hoping the same can be done for her. If anyone could help in any way it would be so greatly appreciated. Every little bit will help and we can't thank you enough!
