Support Cindy After Pat's Tragic Loss

I’m Alisa and Pat was my stepdad for 30 years. We weren’t blood, but he raised me and formed me into who I am today. He was my dad for all intents and purposes. Lucky for me I had 2. Some of my friends and family in Arkansas never met him and that’s OK. Some don’t know that I was raised in South Carolina my entire childhood by Pat. He taught me how to hunt, fish, and be tough. He bought me numerous medical books when he found out I wanted to go into nursing and was my biggest supporter. Some want to know how to help and this is how… My mom has no money. None. This all falls on me. We need help coming up with funeral expenses and living expenses for my mom, Cindy. Pat was the breadwinner and she is certainly going to need help. Of course I will try to do the best I can but for those that want to help I’m creating a GoFundMe for her. I’ve never asked anyone for anything but I can’t do this alone.

Pat was the life of the party. He had a tale for every situation. Who knows how many of them were real or half truths, but he was always entertaining. He was a wealth of knowledge when it came to fixing a vehicle and the first one any of his friends would call for help. Anyone that knew him knew that he loved his family, Jeeps, hunting, and animals, probably in that order. He was an Army veteran and served our country proudly. He was a father figure to all of the neighborhood kids and helped shaped them into who they are as well. Saturday night our family was involved in a tragedy that forever changed our lives. Without going into too many details, this is something you only see in the news or in movies. He was shot and killed standing next to my mom in the kitchen. Never in a million years did I think that we would be here but here we are. I ask for respect and privacy as we dive into the legalities and facts of it all.

Our hearts are broken and we need some help. My mom and my phones are overflowing with love and support and questions on how to help. Prayers and money…That’s all I know. I’m setting this up for anybody wanting to help her out. I can’t do it on my own and I’m calling for all the family and friends to show their love and support for my mom, brother, myself, and Pat. We have to pay for funeral expenses and to keep my mom financially afloat. Anything you can do helps. Keep praying. This is tough and I have no words for this tragedy. God bless you.
