Hi Everyone,

I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit. Back at the beginning of June, my mom, Cindee, was not feeling like herself and went for her yearly physical lab work. After concerning results and further testing we received the devastating news that she has a rare blood cancer, Myelodysplastic Syndrome, with a high chance of transitioning to Acute Myeloid Leukemia. We are seeking your support to help cover the overwhelming expenses and provide Cindee with the best possible care during this challenging time.

Chemo treatments started immediately, and we are working with the Bone Marrow Transplant center at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Mom will need a stem cell transplant and will have to remain within 30 minutes of Northside Hospital for a minimum of 6 to 12 months for the pre procedure, procedure and recovery, excluding extended follow up care, which requires a caregiver by her side 24/7 for the duration if all goes according to plan.

As many of you know, we lost my dad, her soulmate 10 years ago, so the caregiver role will be split between myself and a few others. We are organizing several fundraisers to help cover the overwhelming medical bills, living expenses, the costs of traveling and keeping her home here in Panama City, Florida as Mom will be unable to work.
