Cilla, my wife, has always been the heart of our family. She is a loving mother to our boys and the center of our world. Recently, she has been facing an incredibly difficult battle with advanced cirrhosis caused by type 2 diabetes. The complications have been overwhelming—she is now dealing with encephalopathy and varices in her esophagus, which have made her daily life a constant struggle. Despite her strength, the toll of these illnesses has left her feeling more frail and vulnerable each day.

Our family has been doing everything we can to support Cilla, but the financial burden has become more than we can manage alone. Her medications for encephalopathy and diabetes, as well as the Dexcom monitor device she needs, are not covered by our insurance. On top of that, recent hospitalizations have resulted in bills that we simply cannot pay without help. Cilla is so worried about the growing expenses that she has even offered to leave our home, fearing she is becoming a burden to us. But to me and our boys, she is irreplaceable, and we want nothing more than to help her fight these diseases and stay with us.
