Our beloved friend, mother, coach, and community cheerleader needs us now more than ever.

Ciara Wells is the kind of person who lights up every room she enters. She’s a loving mother to two beautiful little girls, a devoted wife, and my best friend of 20 years. She’s also a dedicated high school staff member and head coach of the PCHS cheerleading team — inspiring and empowering countless young women since 2015.

On April 15th, Ciara’s world changed.

She discovered a golf ball-sized lump in her left breast — something she only noticed after starting her weight loss journey with Semaglutide. In an unexpected way, that journey may have saved her life.

After a whirlwind of multiple mammograms, ultrasounds, and biopsies, Ciara was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma at just 32 years old. Further testing has revealed another mass in her right lymph node that was also found to be cancer. This new find has made this cancer go from a stage 1 to a stage 4. As Ciara prepares for the fight of her life we are asking you to fight with her!

Ciara is trying to stay positive and hopeful — but the emotional, physical, and financial toll is overwhelming. Her sick leave is running out, and insurance doesn’t come close to covering the mounting costs. Even before beginning treatment, she’s facing thousands in medical bills. Each new doctor visit brings more expenses — and more worry.

Despite everything, Ciara remains the vibrant, giving person we all know and love — always putting her daughters, husband, students, and friends before herself.
