Recently, our family received news that no family ever expects when Cian suddenly became critically unwell and required emergency brain surgery.

In the space of a moment, everything changed. Cian has undergone major brain surgery and remains under specialist medical care, with further treatment and a long and uncertain road to recovery ahead of him.

Cian is a much-loved son to Mona and Baz and a big brother to Riley, Zak and Corey, who love and look up to him more than words can describe. Right now, their only concern should be being together as a family and being by Cian’s side while he receives the care he needs.

The last number of days have been some of the most frightening and difficult our family has ever experienced. There is nothing that can prepare parents for seeing their child go through something so serious, or a family for the waiting, hoping and praying that comes with it.

We have set up this fundraiser to help Mona and Baz and take even a small amount of pressure off them during this incredibly difficult time. With Cian facing further treatment and a long recovery ahead, we want them to be able to stay by their son’s side and focus completely on Cian without having to worry about the financial pressures that can come with time away from work, travel, rehabilitation and other unexpected expenses.
