Support Chuco's Surgery and Recovery

Hi, my name is Yadira De La Riva. I'm an independent artist and educator based in NYC, Bronx specifically.

I'm creating this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to pay for my pup Chuco's emergency surgery.

This champ is getting through an unprecedented herniated disk injury that led him immediately to surgery. I'm still in shock, how Chuco can go from walking, jumping and climbing to barely being able to carry his own weight within one day. This is the same pup who joins friends at theaters, walks, hikes and picnics. He is loved and well known everywhere he goes.

AND here comes my moment to show up as a dog parent in a circumstance I had heard of but didn't imagine with a healthy young pup. And while I like to think of myself as a hyper-independent person, here also comes a time to ask for help.

I've covered the initial costs of his spinal surgery but I have $7,000 left to go! Yep! It's really real.

I would greatly appreciate any support you can offer. All donations of any size will help me cover this bill. My goal is to get Chuco home, healed and with life's blessing, walking again!
