Support Chuck's Journey to Recovery & Rehabilitation

Donation protected
On April 27, 2024 Chuck Ayash Sr. and wife Joan had arrived home from a night out. When Chuck went to retrieve Joan’s walker from the trunk, he fell and hit his head on their concrete driveway. An ambulance had arrived thereafter and took Chuck to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, CA. The doctors had imaging performed and found his brain to be bleeding in 2 different locations. The rate of swelling needed to be reduced immediately and the family could only pray God’s will be done to lessen the long term effects. It is here where he would spend the next 4 weeks beginning with emergency care, then intensive care, and inpatient non intensive.
At the end of the 4 weeks, Chuck had lost a great deal of strength, cognitive awareness, and appetite. He could no longer get out of bed by himself, bathe himself, or chew his favorite foods.
Nonetheless, his doctors informed the family that he was what they called “medically stable” and referred him to a skilled nursing facility 10 miles south in Poway, CA. The Villas is where he would continue rehabilitation in hopes of regaining some of his lifestyle back. Currently, his progress is day to day with some being more limited than others.
The Ayash family is coming together to ask for your contribution to Chuck’s rehabilitation and monthly share of costs which will be in the thousands. Chuck and Joan live on a limited fixed income will be unable to financially sustain his well being and the high level of care he requires.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and appreciate any amount of support you can donate in this difficult time
