Chuck is now able to stand up with some help. He is at a crucial stage in his rehab. We don't know how much longer Medicare will cover his ongoing rehab. With continued rehab, we expect he will be able to return to an active life, but it is going to take time and funding. We are considering trying to get powered mobility and adapting his home so he can live independently again. He will need a wheelchair van until he is able to walk again. His home will need upgrades as well. Any help from everyone would be greatly appreciated and Chuck sends his deepest gratitude to those of you that have already helped. PLEASE share this with your friends. All it takes it that one person that is able to step up enough to make this reality. Help us make this go VIRAL! Thank you!
If you know Chuck Greywolf, you already know what kind of soul he is. For those who haven’t met him, Chuck is the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back without being asked. He has spent his entire life lifting others up—teaching, praying for those who have wronged him, offering shelter, buying groceries for people in need, and caring for even the smallest creatures on Mother Earth. Chuck also dedicated many years of his life to support the Wounded Knee Big Foot Memorial Ride, driving through treacherous weather to set up and provide warm meals to the riders from all over the world. This yearly event continues to this day. Without Chuck, the ride may have vanished into history. He is known across the world for his traditional drum making and for sharing the ways of his ancestors with humility, devotion, and joy. Some may recognize him from his time as a beloved extra on Northern Exposure, but those close to him remember him for something far greater: his generosity, his wisdom, and his unwavering heart.
What Happened
Chuck has been in a skilled rehab facility in Meridian, Idaho and is making progress! He is able to stand now but needs assistance. We are hoping to get his rehab services continued so he can return home. We urgently need help though. He will need in-home care for a period of time and adaptations to his home, none of which any insurance will pay for.
