Hi. I am Chuck Graves. I like to make people happy every day. Hence the shirt. But I have run into a bad time. I am living on Social Security like many have. My wife passed away in Dec. She had a good job. Now there's nothing . Two years ago I had a stroke. My left side was worthless. my leg is working swell now but I still fear falling. My left hand has come back a little but still struggles.

I am losing my medicare insurance because they are getting out of it. I was going to sign up for veterans benefits but the government shut down stopped that. I had a state food card which helped but that is shut off now too.

It seems all my potential assistance has abandoned me.

Social Security covers my house and car but pretty much the rest of the bills keep piling up. I have never been in this position before. It is very upsetting.

I need tires for the car to pass inspection which I have no money for. I will probably get a ticket which I won't be able to pay. I hate to ask for help but it feels like my only option, my only hope.

Anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated. I know the govt shut down has affected a lot of you too and I hate to ask. But I can see the loss of the house I have lived in since 1979 is looming.
