Last night, Chuck and Lyn were coming home from Chuck’s bronchoscopy when they hit black ice and crashed sideways into a tree. Thankfully, they are both here with us, but unfortunately, Chuck had to have emergency surgery as his stomach and other organs were pushed upward against his lungs. From my understanding, he has a broken pelvis and many broken ribs as well and may have surgery to repair his rib cage. I believe they removed a portion of his spleen too.
Anyone who knows Chuck and Lyn knows that they are the most selfless couple you could meet. They are always the first to offer a helping hand, and now I’m asking that we help them.
Chuck and Lyn have been through more hardships than most will see in a lifetime and are still overly thankful and feel blessed for each and every day.
Chuck is just past the one-year anniversary of a double lung transplant. Not that it truly matters, but due to no fault of his own! He is the most thankful and grateful person I have truly ever met. Even to the point that sometimes I feel bad for asking him how he is doing because he gets emotional knowing that he has lungs and can live because someone else was not as fortunate. While he would never complain, this is truly the last thing he and his wife need to go through.
It is my hope that we are able to raise funds for them so that the last thing they have to worry about is the extra financial burden of more medical costs, travel costs, and all the other associated costs while Lyn is helping Chuck heal!
Please, Please, Please pray for Chuck, and Lyn too! Prayer’s are worth their weight in gold to this family!
