Hello all!

For the past 4 years I have provided special honor cords and gift bags for our BSU seniors that are graduating and it is truly a blessing to be able to send students off with things to commemorate their time here at CHS.

This year I’m calling on the community to help assist in putting on a senior celebration and 2 special BSU events before the year ends! With the funds we will be providing food for 3 events, (pizza, ice cream, chips) also kente cloth honor cords, gift bags with portable charger gift cards etc & kickballs for our school wide kick ball tournament!

If you contribute or not thank you in advance! I love this work for so many reasons but the students are #1. This is not a job for the weak but it is one that is rewarding to the soul! The past 2 years I’ve been able to come up with the $ out of pocket but the first year, I did crowdfunding I was able to raise about $1500 that allowed us to provide all items needed for the events. So shoot let’s try it again!

For those who don’t know I am a Student & Family Advocate for Seattle Public Schools. I serve as the Facilitator for the elective class Kingmakers and also advisor Black Student Union here at Cleveland High School! These events are school wide but put a spotlight on African American grads which is always important!!!
