Support Chrystina: A Hero in Need

I'm writing this on behalf of a beautiful woman with the most beautiful soul I've ever known. Her name is Chrystina. She is a proud mom of three amazing children, ages 13, 6, and 4. She is also a respected nurse in the community, daughter of a retired NYPD officer and medical assistant, sister, and friend to many.

On February 25th, 2025 at about 5:30 pm, she witnessed a police cruiser get rear-ended by a blue SUV. As she was getting ready to make a left turn at the light, she slowly passed the police officer, rolled her window down, and asked the police officer if he needed help. He said yes. Being the good samaritan she is, she pulled over and got out to ensure he was okay and write a witness statement for the car accident. This is when the suspect intentionally ran both her and the Lauderhill police officer over with his car, hitting the officer multiple times. "My life flashed before my eyes," she recalls. "I remember trying to get to the officer to help, or my phone to call 911, and thinking if I would survive to see my children again." The suspect in this case made a conscious decision to end their lives intentionally, and we don't know why. Luckily, she will recover without any serious injuries. However, the flashbacks of the accident produce very visceral emotions, and she is struggling to come to peace with the crime.

As a nurse, she advocates for her patients every day. Now, she needs our support and advocacy. She is currently out of work, admitted to the hospital, and bills are piling up. Every dollar will help towards childcare while recovering, medical bills, general bills, and car repairs that were sustained during the accident.

Please, lets unite our community, join forces with Chrystina and the Lauderhill PD, and together we can bring justice to the man who almost took a mother from her three children, a daughter from her parents, and a nurse from the patients who love her.
